Yesterday was our first campout of the year. We planted 320 onions (ran out of room), built 1/2 a bottle wall (ran out of cement) and then had to pack up (ran out of sunshine).
Saturday’s brilliant moon spilled upon the farm, while the campfire’s rainbow flames licked at the kid’s toasted marshmallows on sticks. And, I swear Michelle & I could hear (ever so slightly) the bottoms of Mean Mr. Fallywalker’s shoes prancing in the nearby field- tenderizing the dirt for the coming season’s twisted assortments. Blueberries and red onions made their way into the dirt today & our finishing touches on the greenhouse inched closer to an end. The night met us with some harsh winds, which spun our canopy tent into the air like Dorothy’s farmhouse from the Wizard of Oz… Sunday’s sky brought the initial drink of water for the berries.
